A message for my darlings - Opi and Isya.
You are definitely too young for me to explain this, but there will be other issues as well. So let’s just tackle one day at a time. One fine day, I hope you will read back this blog and understand what we went through to reach where we are.
Number One: Humans are never satisfied with what they have, until they lose it/him/her.
Its not your fault entirely – its just called nafsu (desires), and everyone suffers from it in varying degrees. You can be at either end - The one who wants more… or (worse) if someone doesn’t want you because he/she wants something more! Just remember to do good onto others because life is like one bloody boomerang…for what goes around, comes around. And sometimes it comes unexpectedly that it throws you off balance.
Your mummy’s real advice – Get up on your feet again! Don’t you ever let the opposite side does that to you. You’re smart, attractive and good-hearted. Whoever says that my children are any lesser…is scumbag of the earth!!
Breathe in…breathe out….
Number Two: Money is not everything.
It provides the fundamentals in life like proper house, meal and of course proper education but…corny as it may sound – it doesn’t buy happiness. If one day you have more than enough and more than you should…please ponder on those who are less fortunate. Do sedekah (donate) to the really needy ones. Remember that the hand that gives is higher than the hand that receives.
What I really want to say is: If you have so much money later…don’t you dare come to my house and flash your fat wallet here and there (and not give a cent!). You’ll make me a lot contented if you remain low-key and I know that money has not gone to your brains.
Pheww……….Ok let’s go on…
Number Three: Looks can be deceiving.
You must never ever judge a book by its cover. A properly dressed lady who sits demurely and walks gently can be bitchier/nastier than a bleached blonde lady. Hehehe…yes children…your mummy is speaking through experience. Hush now and listen good for this is very important – a serial rapist may have the looks of Brad Pitt (or whoever you fancy in your time)! So…don’t jump into conclusion, don’t assume based on first impression, learn to hold back a bit and get to know one another.
My opinion is: You’ll learn this over time…and will still make the mistake of under/overestimating another person. Just don’t be too hard on yourselves.
Opi and Isya – I guess we’ll do this as and when I think of something. Three lessons in one post should be sufficient for you to digest.
Ooo…by the way…the two words people like to hear most but find them difficult to say (as in, say them sincerely) are – thank you and I’m sorry. Master saying those words sincerely...you're good to go.

but the best lesson in going through life is life itself.
life is full of bruises and scrapes, falls and bumps and those things form a big part of life. if we are seventeen and we know what we know now, we would do a lot of things differently there would be less bruises, scrapes, falls and bumps.
