The new Volvo S40..

This morning, I took a slow drive to work. And I looked at the cars that went passed me…a few CRVs, a couple of Beemers, quite a numbers of Citys and not one Civic. I also glimpsed at the spacious Naza Ria and stared at the grand beauty of a Citroen C5. I was also upset with a few speeding Aveos and Satrias, assumingly driven by the students of UNITEN and MMU.

I’ve never quite been a car-person so I never really noticed all the other related matters like…the price! So after a thorough chat with the Honda dealer in Ampang, I just realized that with a 10% down payment (and that’ll be a hefty $15K), I still have to fork out $2,500 per month just to drive a CRV!! Or worse, the ‘affordable’ City means a cut of $1,500 per month from my monthly salary! And I haven’t even gone to consider the other luxury cars…Shit.. now who told me “beli aje Honda…murah..”??

Its almost the same as when Dodik gave me her face cream, SKII Sign Treatment. She said “ambiklah..too oily for my skin”.

I gawked. The cream costs more than RM300 per jar. For every (extremely tiny) dot I put on my face, I feel like a movie star. I walk with more confidence. Lantaklah yang orang lain tak tau what I have on my face…

Coming back to cars, I now looked in the car. At the person who is driving the car. And I’ve to admit that I will then wonder about the drivers’ lives…their money…their careers…

Oooo…its like a sickness…like an addiction. Its not good...but its not easy to stop…

Like Opi likes to say...belilah the new Volvo S40....

mummy, if you can afford it, buy it. i'd love a volvo or a beemer or a merc but i could ill afford any of those now. when i could afford one, i'll get one but till then, my trusty wira or my wife's kancil (when i could persuade her to let me use it) will do just fine.

besides, 97.5% of the time i'm either driving in klang valley or seremban. but i agree with you, those cars are beckoning...............
