Aboy dear
Do get well soon.
I wish there's something I can help, or some doctors anyone can refer to.
I wish the medication will improve his condition soon.
I hope its not anything permanent.
Whats wrong wth him?
I don't know.
All we know is that he woke up one morning and half of his left face is numb. He cannot move his lips, he has no control over any facial expression on his left face and he cannot even blink his left eye.
There was no indication...no reasons for it to happen.
The hospital warded him for two days and discharged him with some eye drops and some viral antibiotics. His condition now? Almost the same, I'd say.
"Its a virus that attacks the nerves"
Yeah doc! Like whats the virus? Why it happens? How does one prevent it from happening? Will the numbness subside? When will it subside? Whats gonna happen if it doesn't??
Isshhhh!!!! Bloody irritating......!!
Aren't the doctors supposed to perform some MRI scan or something?
Am I watching too much of House??
Am I paranoid?
No. I believe not.
He's my nephew. And people gotta treat him with a hell lot of respect.
I'm searching the Net but I have no clue what can lead to this symptom.
Do you?

I searched the web for child stroke, similar symptom..
The thing with children is every case is unique, so treatment is based on each case. The doctor should do more test lar....
sorry to hear that.
try search "Guillain-Barré syndrome".
it's too long to paste the information here, but you can try the link :

thanks dusyum.
If its Guillain-Barré syndrome, then..
good news : recovery is around 99%
not-so-good-news : the recovery can take a few days...or months..or years
more not-so-good-news : there's no known cure
and the bad news : dont know why, how, when it happens...
